Q2 Reflections: Alignment, Elevation, and Intentional Growth

Quarter 2 wasn't just about growth, it was about claiming space that was always mine. As I reflect on this season, I'm struck by how much of it was about deep alignment and intentional expansion, both personally and professionally. The wins weren't just milestones; they were affirmations that every decision I've made to grow Your Style Is Forever is carving out the space for even greater impact. Here's what I'm celebrating:

Expanding the Conversation

This quarter also deepened my commitment to amplifying voices through Power In Presence. I sat down with Nikki, a creative and a leader, whose story left me inspired. And I had an intimate conversation with a fellow single mother and creative on her platform that’s close to my heart and will air later this year.

These conversations are more than interviews; they’re love letters to women navigating life, ambition, and identity.

Elevating the Brand Experience

We refreshed our brand identity with a new logo that feels aligned with where Your Style Is Forever is headed. I also invested in a new photoshoot, collaborating with another Black entrepreneur India Chanel Media, whose energy and vision matched mine. It’s about creating imagery that feels as elevated and intentional as the women I serve.

Breaking Norms

I landed my first lifestyle paid ad; if you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw this. It was a pivot that felt both audacious and aligned. It reminded me that expansion doesn’t always look like what we imagined. Sometimes it asks us to be brave enough to do what feels “out of the ordinary” and trust the bigger vision.

As Black women, as entrepreneurs, as mothers, we’ve always been expected to play by the rules, stay in line, blend in. But this quarter, I doubled down on my commitment to staying true to who I am at my core and helping other women do the same.

Expanding Our Reach

This quarter brought incredible visibility—being featured on CNN_ to share my favorite sweat-repellent shirts for men was such an unexpected joy. I also received a press request from a major publication (stay tuned). And for the first time, I onboarded a male client—proof that intentional style knows no gender.

Style Diagnosis is a visual style blueprint that cuts through the noise and defines what aligns, reflects, and amplifies who you are.

Personal Milestones

What I’m most proud of isn’t the features or new clients—it’s that I made space for life. A family trip to Orlando. A girls’ trip to Chicago. Time to recharge so I could return to my work with fresh eyes and a full heart.

I also completed a coaching program I had been wanting to take for years. As someone who has spent over 15 years navigating corporate and government spaces, while showing up as a mother and minority in rooms where I was often judged before I ever spoke, this investment felt like a reclamation. Proof that even as I pour into others, I can and should continue to pour into myself.

New Chapter

Another unexpected (but aligned) addition to my journey: I became a Certified Travel Advisor with Fora Travel.

Why? Because I believe style doesn't stop at the wardrobe—it extends into how we experience the world. I am a forever student; I love to learn and try new things. Style is the visual language that tells the world who you are, but it's also about curating experiences that reflect your elevated taste.

True style reflects your values, your evolution, and the life you’re building. My vision for YSIF has always been to style my clients' lives fully, so this is another step in the direction of fulfilling that dream. Because when you're breaking ceilings and building legacies, even your vacations should be as intentional as your wardrobe.

Unexpected Abundance

Sometimes abundance shows up in simple, beautiful ways. I received an unexpected $250 drawing prize for participating in a small business survey. A gentle reminder from the universe that showing up even in small ways always comes full circle. If you’ve ever received a survey request for a small business, just know that it’s to improve things because they care, a little feedback goes a long way.

Looking Ahead

As I step into Q3, my focus is on deepening my impact: refining our client experience, exploring new partnerships, and continuing to help ambitious Black women step fully into their next-level selves. Because style isn’t just about clothes, it’s a strategy for how you move through the world. I want to hear about your wins (all shapes and sizes) slide my inbox here and tell me all about it, or drop a comment below.

Here’s to an even more powerful Q3🥂.
